TRAINING SCHEDULE

“Train Hard, fight easy"

Sir william Harrington

Training is important to the Companye. Both combatants and archers must be practised and competent with their equipment before they will be allowed to participate in events.

Here’s a small flavour of what we get up to:

“Wrestle well and wield lance, spear, sword, and dagger manfully, whose use in others' hands is wasted"

Johannes Lichtenauer

We train every week alternating fortnightly between the following locations

BUCKINGHAM and BRIXWORTH

Costs are dependant on the number of people attending, but typically around £3 per person for the session.

We cover a variety of combat styles and the safe use of the weapons

  • Drill
  • Line fighting
  • Polearm

Newcomers to Medieval Longsword are encouraged to read the following before starting training with the Companye:
